NotesOn 15 March 1894, Richard Holbird baptised at Christ Church, South Hackney, son of William and Eliza Holbird, of 63 Wadison? St, fathers occupation-Cook,

His sister Maud was baptised at the same church on 27 July 1893

Richard Holbird, admitted to Whitechapel Union aged 10 on 17 July 1903, next of kin-mother Eliza, 72 Slater St, Bethnal Green, his sister Maud was admitted previously on 15 May 1903. Both children were handed into Dr Barnardo's care. Richard was marked as discharged 23 September 1903 'Emigrated to Canada' no comments by his sisters entry.

(Possible) On 24 November 1916, Richard Holbird, 21, farm labourer, entered America via Eastport, Idaho, last residence Kincaid, his next of kin Brother, ?? Holbird, 21 Queen St, Montreal, he had no address to go to in America. birthplace stated as Canada

In 1924, Eliza Holbird, 50, arrived in Canada to join her son Richard, she stated she intended to reside with him, his address was given as Courtenay, Vancouver. Her next of kin in the UK was her daughter Ada Holbird, 27 Leigham Court Drive, Leigh, England

On May 23 1930, his sister Ada, 31, arrived in Canada to visit her brother Richard, Masefield, Sask, by this time their mother had returned to England as she was given as Ada's next of kin - Mother, Mrs E Holbird, 37 Leighton Ave, Leigh on Sea, England

On July 31 1930, Ada arrived home to England
