NotesDue to problems at home, Gertrude, Albert and Daisy Hopson children of Abraham Hopson and Mary Ann Elizabeth Sanders were sent to Canada. The children were placed in Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

In 1888, Daisy Hopson, 6, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of Macppherson children: 27 males and 70 females, some to Toronto but most to Stratford, Ontario.

On October 28, 1907, at Zorra, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Daisy Hopson, 20, born in England to Abraham Hopson and mother unknown; and Clemens Yeck, 24, carpenter, born in East Zorra, Ontario, Canada, to Edward Yeck and Margaret Baud.

At least 4 children were born of the marriage: Albert Wilfred Yeck, born December 19, 1901, at Zorra, Oxford, Ontario, Canada; Gertrude Irene Yeck, born June 8, 1904, at Zorra, Oxford, Ontario, Canada; Leonard Yeck, born November, 1910, at Zorra, Oxford, Ontario; and Earl Wellington Yeck, born August 3, 1912, at Zorra, Oxford, Ontario, Canada, died July 22, 1931, of peritonitis, at Woodstock General Hospital, East Zorra, Oxford, Ontario, Canada.
