Notes Sent by Edmonton Union
with Mrs William Nodwell, P.O Reading, Dufferin, Ontario
September 1 1900
About 11 years of age, good home, employed at house work and care of child, general health good, attends the Deciples church and Sunday School, also Public School, character highly satisfactory, terms-Board and Clothing. This little girl appears to be quite contented, and states she is well treated by the Nodwells. She has a sufficient supply of clothing and gives her mistress satisfaction. Her feet have troubled her somewhat since coming to Canada, especially in winter they become blistered, and scabs of proud flesh form. This trouble resembles chillblains. Mrs Nodwell has consulted a Physician and under his treatment there has been a marked improvement. The Nodwells appear to be good farmers, and have a very good farm in a pleasant locality
