He declared that he was single; had no occupation; his intended occupation was farming; his birthplace was Elham, Canterbury, Kent, England; that his object in going to Canada was to do farm work; that he intended to remain permanently in Canada; his passage was paid by Dr. Barnardos Home, London; his next of kin was the Guardians of Elham Union; and that he was en route to Mr. John W. Hobday (friend), Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
