with Patrick Corkery, farmer, P.O Ashton, Carleton, Ontario

Age about 15, satisfactory home, employed choring about the farm, health good, goes to Church once a month, he is to be sent to school this winter, character-he was found to be untruthful at first but is improving, is stubborn at times. Terms-Board and Clothes. Employer says he likes the lad, and that he is improving all the time. Ingram is satisfied with his place and work.

November 16 1900

About 15 years of age, good home, employed at light work on farm and in the house, health very good indeed, attends Roman Catholic Church not school - attended school for two winters but did not make good progress, character good. Terms-Board and Clothes at present. Ingram has made good progress since last inspection. He has learned to do many things on the farm and his employer finds him a very useful boy, and he is highly satisfactory to him now. He is a boy who must be kept "under stern rule" his master says. Ingram has a good home, and appears to appreciate it. He had nothing to complain about. He is well clad and very comfortable here
