NotesIn 1883, Fred Jacombe, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 35 Roman Catholic children, accompanied by Rev. Thomas Seddon, of London, England, and en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa, Ontario.

Fred. Jacomb, from Poplar Union, placed with R. Davies, Fallowfield, Co. Carleton, Ontario. Called upon Mr. Davies, who knows nothing of the boy."

Frederick Jacomb died at the age of 58 years on September 21, 1927, at Dr. La Salle College, Aurora, York, Ontario, Canada, of myocardial disease. He was buried at Dr. La Salle College, Aurora, Ontario, Canada. His brother John Jacomb, reported that he was not married; that he was an infirmarian tailor; that he had been born in Staffordshire, England; and that his parents were Joseph Jacomb and Helen Foley.
