In 1901, his widowed mother Mary Jane, 42, and his young sister Alice E, 8, were residing his mothers employer Emilie S Meares in Willesden, Middlesex

In 1911, James Might, 32, and widowed mother Mary E, 59, sisters Jennie, 41, Gladys, 15, and domestic - George Jendon, 21, in Cavan, Durham, Ontario

On 6th November 1914, George W Jenden, born July 16 1892 Kent, enlisted in Canadian Army, he gave his next of kin as Mrs M Smish, 16? Liverpool Buildings, Highbury, London, England

On 15 August 1917, Lance Corporal George Walter Jenden died aged 26 while fighting with Canadian Infantry (Eastern Ontario Regiment), he is remembered on the Vimy Memorial was reported as the son of Mrs Mary Jane Jenden, of 15 George St, Sparrow Green, Wadhurst, Sussex
