Notes In 1887, John Kegan, 10, arrived in Canada in a group of 38 Middlemore children accompanied by Mr. John T. Middlemore and en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.

John Kegan, aged 10. From Wolverhampton Union. Placed with Samuel Willis, Lot 5, Con. 5, Macaulay, Bracebridge P.O.?A good home, but the boy was so wilful and disobedient that he had to be returned to the home last winter as unsuitable."
