NotesAlice Killick came to Canada in 1905 and sent to Stratford. she is the sister of Walter, George and Mary Killick. The children including Alice all came from the Lambeth Union Workhouse. Parent's were Henry Killick and Mary Harris. Alice had told her children about some of the homes she was in and of coarse none of them were to pleasant. In 1915 she finally come out of her last home, with the help of her new husband Wilford Sackrider. He died in 1918 after giving Alice 1 child. On Jan 8 1921, Alice Killick married for a second time, his name was Andrew MacKay. Alice spent the last 18 years of her life in a nursing home. It is my believe that Alice never forgot what happened to her in those home she had been in.
