In 1905, N. Kimberly, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 104 Barnardo girls accompanied by their matron, Mrs. Lloyd en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
On April 22, 1923, Nora Elizabeth Kimberley crossed into Detroit on the SS Empire of Britain, Michigan. She stated she was a clerk, born in England in Coventry. She said she was going to visit a friend Oliver Chatland at 895 Milwaukee, Detroit. She intended the visit to be permanent and intended to become a US citizen. She had never been in prison, had never been deported, wasn't a polygamist or an anarchist. Nora was 5 foot 4 inches, of medium complexion, brown hair and gray eyes with no identifying marks.
