NotesLouisa arrived in Canada in 1883 as a three-year-old "Barnardo Child", and was adopted by Charles Leon Lamontagne and his wife Ellen. The family was in Montreal at the time of the 1901 census, but Ellen and her living children left Charles and moved to Brandon, Manitoba, where they were recorded in the 1906 census. This is the last record of Louisa, but she may have moved to California.

Louisa is my wife Linda's (nee Lamontagne) great aunt.
