NotesMother: Mary Jane Large. Herbert Large (born August 19th, 1907 in Wolverhampton) arrived from Middlemore Homes, St Lukes Road, Birmingham, England at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in May of 1914 on the Carthaginian in a group of 96 children en route to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He was sent to live at Malagash with Mr & Mrs Luther Betts.

Herbert had two sisters: Ruth Large (born about 1915); and Kathleen Large (born December 13, 1909 at Trysul, England). Kathleen went into the Middlemore Home in September of 1916, and on May of 1920, via the Minnedosa, and was sent first to New Brunswick (Carlton County) and then to River Denys, Cape Breton to live with Mrs Allie Cameron.

Herbert Large married Viola Louise Millard (born May 23, 1910) on October 29th 1927.

Viola Louise Millard Large died August 18, 1959.
