NotesIn 1920 Barnardo's produced a list "Faithful Unto Death From Annual Report for Dr Barnardo's Homes 1920. 677 old Barnardo boys who gave their lives in the Great War." -William's name was listed as having being in the Canadian Contingents. The only Lashmar I can find as having died in the war is a Jonas Lashmar, his birth date and place matches William, and his brother Thomas is also listed as his next of kin. I cannot 100% connect him to William who shows up in the Barnardo magazine as having died in the war.

He is mention in the Ups and Downs in 1898 as having met up once again with his brother Thomas.

1901 Census records stare Willie Lashmar was born 21 Apr 1880 in England, and immigrated in 1897. 21 years of age, listed as 'Servant' in the household of George Roe with wife Ida, and son David. Two other servants are listed, William Smith (21, born in Ontario) and Susan Davidson (28, born in Ontario). Mornington Township, Perth, Ontario.

1911 corresponding Census for Willie Lashmar lists him born in Mar 1880 in England, 31 years of age with wife Sarah and son William J.
