In 1881, Nellie Lea, 4 years of age, was shown residing at Cot Street, 69, Green Grocers Shoppe. Other family members included: Mary Lea, 36; Pollie Lea, 6; and Thos. Henry Lea, 54, green grocer. In 1887, Nellie Lea, 10 (along with her sister, Polly Lea, 11), arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 21 children, part of a much larger party, en route to Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, accompanied by Mr. Middlemore.

On September 26, 1894, at Bureau de Sant?, Fr?d?ricton, York, New Brunswick, a marriage was registered between Nellie Lea, 17, born in Staffordshire, England, to Mary Williamson Lea (father's name not written); and Thomas D. Grass, 30, farmer, born in Waasis, Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Amos and Susan Grass.

Thomas Dell and Nellie Lea Grass had two children: Hazel Idella Grass, born Dec 1895 in Canada; and Lebaron Victor Grass, born August 17, 1897 in Waasis Station, Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada

Nellie Lea Grass died in Canada in 1952. Thomas Dell Grass died October 27, 1936, in New Brunswick, Canada. Both are buried at Dayton Cemetery, York, New Brunswick, Canada.
