Leckes (Lecker) Mattie and Katie. Following information is from Ron Tackberry. Parents of the girls both born Scotland, these girls were twins. Charles Tackaberry (Feb 14 1837-March 12, 1923) and his wife Marie L Sherman (April 25 1841-Feb 2) adopted Martha (Mattie) Nov 17 1883 Scotland - so her name changed to Tackaberry. She married Heber Sweet Purvis. Lived Lot 2 Con 9 Bastard Twp.
Nov. 27/Nov 25, 1901 Athens Reporter: At the residence of Charles Tackberry, Plum Hollow, Martha Tackaberry & Herber Purvis both of Plum Hollow were married. Miss Kate Eyre, sister of the bride & Gordon Purvis assisted the bride & Groom.

Mar 31/March 22 1927 - Athens Reporter Mrs. Laura Jane Sweet Purvis wife of Edward Purvis, a former resident of Plum Hollow died at Pennant, Sask at the home of her son Gordon and Mary (Percival) Purvis. She also leaves a son Herber of Peterboro. She was 87 and a half years old.
