Eric Edward Lively, 19, born Stepney, London, joined the British Army on August 22 1914, at Cardiff, he was discharged on 28 September 1914. He stated his next of kin was his sister Rose Mary Lively, address not known, Canada, he stated he was a Collier.

On 29 October 1914, Eric Lively, re-enlisted in the Army, this time he declared he had no next of kin c/o Dr Barnardo Homes,

On 30 July 1927, Eric Lively, 22?, arrived back in Canada, he declared he was born in London, he was heading to a Land Settlement, Winnipeg, Manitoba, he gave his next of kin in England as Sister-Mrs Stone, address unreadable
