NotesEdward was one of 16 children, the final batch for 1931, who sailed from London to Fremantle by the ‘Ballarat’ to Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia. He was 11 years old.

His brother James (b. 1915) arrived at Fairbridge in 1928.

Edward was a trooper in the Australian Army in WWII 1941-45 (Source: WWII Nominal Roll).

He died in 1993 aged 73 and is memorialised at Guildford Cemetery, Hazelmere Gardens W1/25.
