In August 1899, Henry Manders, 16, arrived back in England on SS Cymric
October 9 1899, with J T Keator, farmer, Nauwigewauk, Kings, NB
Age 17, good home, employed at farming, very sick, church and school attendance good when well, character good,
Terms-Agreed to keep him two years. The boy is at present in City Hospital for a hard case of Corebo-spinal meningitis, slowly recovering, when able will be sent to Rev J S Rough, Middlemore Home, Halifax. Henry Manders was taken from hospital here by Rev J S Rough to Halifax and if any hope of recovery from his deafness (to be kept) but pronounced incurable, was sent back to Birmingham
