NotesParents: Frederick William Mann and Harriet Woods, married 1893, Guildford, Surrey, England.

In 1901, Frederick C. Mann, 7 years of age, was shown residing at the Stable Yard, Midgham, Berkshire, England. Other family members included: Dorothy M. Mann, 4; Evie J. Mann, 6; Frederick W. Mann, 34, groom; Harriet Mann, 32; and William E. Mann, 2. (Source: 1901 Census of England; Class: RG13; Piece: 1123; Folio: 32; Page: 10.)

In 1909, Fred C. Mann, 12, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with 64 children en route to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

On November 15, 1915, Frederick Charles Mann, 22, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in Ramsgate, England; that his next of kin was his mother, Harriet Mann, who resided at Colwood PO; that his date of birth was September 4, 1895; that he was a teamster; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 10-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair. He had a birth mark on his right cheek.

On August 4, 1922, at Chippawa, Welland, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Frederick Charles Mann, 24, painter, born in London, England, to Frederick Mann; and Beatrice Pearl Rowe, 21, born at Chippawa, Welland, Ontario, Canada, to Delos Rowe and Susan Dace.

Fred and Beatrice Mann had at least three children: Helen Mann (1927-1994); Evelyn Mann, born 1925; and Frederick Mann, born about 1923.

Frederick Charles Mann died June 21, 1970, at Chippawa, Welland, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 73. Beatrice Mann died in 1978 at the age of 77.

NOTE: Age at death does not match UK birth to MANN-WOODS in 1893.
