In 1905, A. R. Mansfield, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, with a group of 179 children: 87 boys to Toronto, Ontario, and 89 girls to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. In charge of the party were Mrs. Clare Butterworth, 41; Mrs. Alice Walker, 40; Mabel Walker, 18; and Mrs. Manning.

On March 10, 1922, in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Alice Rosina Mansfield, 30, domestic, born in England, daughter of Alice Shadrack (she did not know her father's name); and Matthew White, 32, blacksmith, born in County Armagh, Ireland, son of Joseph White and Catherine Elliott.
