He declared that he resided at Douglas, Ontario, Canada; that he was born in Ayr, Scotland; that his next of kin was his sister, Miss Mary McCracken, who resided at 93 King Street, Brockville, Ontario, Canada; that his date of birth was November 21, 1898; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 8-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; brown hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith. His left foot was moderately flat.
