Notes The death occurred on March 10 in Kingston General Hospital of Thomas Mc Groggan who had been a patient there for some days. Mr. McGrogan had been in poor health for some time with a heart condition. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 21, 1877, son of the late Thomas McGrogan. At the age of 12 he came to Canada and lived at Philipsville. In 1908 he was married to Miss Maud Huffman at Daytown by the late Rev. Mr. Dewey. He had lived all his life in this district except for four years when he and Mrs. McGrogan lived in the west at Irma Alta. In 1913 they settled on the Huffman farm at Daytown where they resided until 1950 when they moved to Delta, purchasing the late Walter Beatty home. The remains rested at his residence until Saturday afternoon when the funeral service was conducted by Rev. A Peebles assisted by Mr. Stanley Osborn. Mr. McGrogan was a member of Delta IOOF No 265. The IOOF service was held at the home Friday evening. He was a Director of the Lyndhurst Telephone Co. He is survived by his wife. His brother James lived with him until he passed away in 1952. Burial was made in Elgin Cemetery. Friends and relatives from a distance were W. L Huffman and Frank Huffman of Fort Erie, Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Hodge and Jim, Mrs. James Huffman of Toronto, Mrs. Amy Stevens, Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Carlyle Stevens of Brockville and Mrs. John Baker of Elgin. The pallbearers were Ronald Morris, Cliff Raison, Lloyd Sawyer, Allan Gifford, Victor Halladay and Bryce Woods.
