NotesRonald was one of 31 children who arrived in Fremantle from London, bound for Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia. He was 10 years old.

Ronald continued after the war to serve in the Interim Army and the Australian Regular Army, serving in Transport and Military Police, taking his discharge as a corporal. He rejoined in 1956, eventually retiring from the Army in 1974 with the honorary rank of Major (Source: RAA Association).

He died in 1999 aged 72. His wife Eileen died March 2003 aged 78 at Hornsby Hospital, NSW.
