NotesIn 1901, John Menzies, 10 years of age, and his brother, Hugh Menzies, 6 years of age, were residing in the Kilmacolm Orphanage, Bridge Of Weir, Renfrewshire, Scotland.

In 1906, John Menzies, 15 (along with brother, Hugh Menzies, 11) arrived in Quebec, Canada, with a group of 100 Scottish children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
