George Gardner Merrall married [Melinda] Margaret Kline (born October 6, 1890, daughter of Henry Kiline and Minnie Borr) in Saskatchewan, Canada.

At least 6 children were born of this marriage: Hazel Violet Merrall, born about 1909; Vera Mae Merrall, born March 10, 1910, in Unity, Saskatchewan, Canada; Beatrice Roselda Merrall, born about 1912; John Henry Merrall, born about 1913; Georgina Merrall; and Eileen Whelemina Merrall, born about 1915.

On December 17, 1938, George Gardner Merrell, 58, crossed into the United States through the port of Metaline Falls, Washington. He declared that he had been born in Ramsgate, England; that he was a rancher; that his contact in Canada was his wife, Malinda; that he was going to visit his daughter, Mrs. Hazel Sullivan, who resided at 1030 West Chestnut, Walla Walla, Washington. He was described as 5 foot 7 inches in height; medium complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.

George Gardner Merrall died on May 28, 1964, at the age of 83, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. [Registration Number: 1964-09-007963]. Melinda Margaret Kline Merrall died on January 6, 1967, in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
