NotesWilliam was sent to Prince Edwards Island by Middlemores after being in their home for just 4 months. He had 3 brothers and 5 sisters all living in Birmingham. Two of his brothers and 3 of his sisters were married. Both of his parents were dead. William had apparently been truanting from school and mixing with rough company so the Superintendant of the School Board had him put in the home.

He was lucky it seems to have been placed with William McDonald and his wife Mary. The McDonalds had a daughter Euphemia, and an Aunt Mrs Isabella McFayden living with them.

My Father remembers during World War II, William and his wife Daisy (Margaret) sending food parcels to his brother John who was my Fathers Grandfather.

Nothing more is known, I would love to know of his life there.
