A death registration was found for Elizabeth Morris: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1862; Year of Registration: 1899; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; Age at Death: 37; District: Birmingham (1837-1924); County: Warwickshire; Volume: 6d; Page: 94. Eliza died in childbirth with her 12th child.

In 1901, Elsie Morris, 4 years of age, was shown residing at 48 Kenyon Street, All Saints, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. Other family members included: Harold Morris, 2; Frances Morris, 9; Herbert Morris, 5; Minnie Morris, 11; Thomas Morris, 39, jewelers engraver / goldsmith; and Thomas Morris, 13, jewelers engraver. In 1908, Elsie Morris, 11 (along with brothers, Harold Morris, 9, and Herbert Morris, 11) arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 151 Middlemore children from Birmingham, England.

In 1911, Elsie Morris, 14, and her brother, Herbert Morris, 16, were shown as domestics to Elizabeth Secord and Olive Smith of Wakefield, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. Elsie's date of birth was shown as May 1897 and her immigration year from England as 1908.

Elsie's older sister, Minnie Morris, married a Mr. Watton in England and immigrated to California after first collecting Herbert, Elsie and Harold.
