Commonwealth War Graves Registers and Circumstances of Casualty state that he died of Double Lobar Pneumonia while on board the S.S. Thongwa and was buried at sea. His name is listed on the Halifax Memorial in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Panel 2.
The Great Canadian War Project notes that a Newspaper Obituary states he was a farm labourer on the farm of Richard Uglow.
