Notes In 1893, Jos. Rimson [Munson], 12, arrived at Portland, Maine, USA, in a group of 252 Barnardo children accompanied by Mr. Owen and en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In the Ups and Downs, Joseph is noted as arriving in Essex, Ontario in the March of 1893 party.

Joseph Munson, with Enos. E. Wisemer of Essex, we are sorry to hear is not robust and mention is made of a troublesome pain in the side that has an unpleasant sound. Through God's goodness our boys have been marvellously free from disease or ailment of a serious character, and we hope that Joesph will soon begin to gain strength and shake off his present delicacy. Mr. Griffith reports that his is well clad and taken good care of, and he is very happy in his home and would be sorry to leave. He is a good, mannerly little boy and always "does his best".
In the July 1898 edition he is noted to be on the "Roll of Honor"
In 1899 Joseph was part of the annual Christmas Excursion - boys who wanted to go back to England for a visit. More information on this excursion and the party Joseph was in can be found at:
