Albert declared that he was a laborer; that he was a Canadian citizen; that he resided in Rosseau, Ontario, Canada; that his next of kin in Canada was his father-in-law, John Jones of London, Ontario; that his family's final destination was Geneva, Ohio; that they intended to stay with a friend, Gerry P. Man; and that they were planning on remaining permanently. Albert was described as being 5 foot 7 inches; medium complexion; black hair and brown eyes.

On July 16, 1968, Albert Murfitt died in Ashtabula General Hospital, Ashtabula, Ashtabula, Ohio, United States of America. According to the death register, Albert Murfitt was a widower.
