Notes Mary Lilian Neill was born at 2 Eastnor Place, St. Pancras, London on Aug. 9, 1900. She was the daughter of Samuel George Neill, horsekeeper & Annie, formerly Goodeve. According to the Dr. Barnardo Homes who hold the records of the Annie Macpherson Homes:
"Lily Neill was admitted to the Annie Macpherson homes (date not stated) from Miss Steer's Home, where she was for two or three years. The record shows her age as 14 years on 6th Aug. 1914. No date or place of birth is stated and no parents shown. Lily Neill was emigrated to Canada under the auspices of The Annie Macpherson Homes in May 1914 per the S.S. Virginian, arriving in Canada on the 20th May 1914 (Port of entry not stated)."
Mary Lilian Neil was married on May 1, 1919, at Mitchell, Perth, Ontario, Canada, Gordon Harold Barber; then on July 23, 1940, she married Israel Barrow, who died October 22, 1940, in the North Atlantic; she then married Roland Fabian Caron about 1941 in Sault Ste. Marie, Algoma District, Ontario, Canada.
Mary Lilian Neil Caron died December 16, 1978, in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
