NotesSent by Richmond Union

April 10 1899, with Mrs King, widow, 37 MacKay St, Montreal

Age 16, good home, employed at general housework, good health, attends church regularly, character-fair. This girl is fairly satisfied with her place but is not giving satisfaction to her employer, who intends returning her to the Home

September 25 1899

Mrs King stated to me that although this girl is slow at her work yet she retains her services, and will do so until gets s smarter servant

April 19 1900

with Madame Ducharme, P.O Magog, Magog, Quebec

Age 13, good home, employed as domestic servant, good health, attends Roman catholic church, does not attend school, character-good, honest and truthful. Terms-$4 per month wages. Agnes Nelson has been with Madam Ducharme since March, prior to coming she had been with Mrs King, 73 McGill College Avenue, Montreal, in whose employ she had remained for eleven months. Madam Ducharme finds her a good girl. She is happy and contented.

with Mrs Lowery, Lachine, Hochelaga, Quebec

May 19 1902

Age 17, this girl has been shifted about from place to place during the past year. She remained with Mrs Lowery of Lachine at whose place I saw her last year for some months. Mrs Lowery says she put up with her as long as she possibly could do so. She persisted in running about and her behaviour was anything but satisfactory. She has no idea as to her present whereabouts, except that when she left her employ she stated she was going to Montreal.
