Notes In 1884, Mary A. Nolan, 10, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 104 children from the Catholic Children's Protective Society, accompanied by Mrs. Lacy and en route to Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Mary A. Nolan (not Sarah), aged 9, from Birkenhead Union, placed with David Pool, Queensbury P.O., was with P. Genereux, Bridgewater. Genereux was much pleased with this girl. That she would have better home with Pool, allowed her to go. In good home, now attends school."
