NotesGeorge Palmer was an orphan, both his parents died in 1885 in Wolverhampton.

In 1886, George Palmer, 12, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 61 MacPherson children en route to Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

George had two younger brothers who were sent out at a later unknown date and one was sent to Selkirk, Manitoba.

In 1891, George Palmer, 16, was shown as a domestic to William and Sarah Waddell of Mornington, Perth North, Ontario, Canada.

He was also placed on the farm of Mr. Lybert in Fingal, Ontario, Canada. He later returned to England and married Leonora Bates in Tipton, England on April 22, 1905.
