A death registration was found for Susan Pattle: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1837; Year of Registration: 1885; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Age at Death: 48; District: Brentford; County: Middlesex; Volume: 3a; Page: 87.

Robert was placed in Barnardos in London. His eldest sister went into service & the two younger girls went to Muller's Orphanage in Bristol, where they later died of tuberculosis, as had their parents.

A death registration was found for Emily Jessie Pattle: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1898; Year of Registration: 1900; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; Age at Death: 2; District: Hackney County: Greater London, London, Middlesex; Volume: 1b; Page: 438.

In 1887, Robert C. Pattle, 10, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with 207 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In Canada he stayed originally with his mother's sister.

Robert Charles married Mina Susan Stewart (1883-1958) on December 28, 1904, in Dufferin, Manitoba, Canada. (Registration No.: 1905,002259.)

In 1911, Charles Robert Pattel, 33, was shown residing at McDonald, Manitoba, Canada, along with other family members: Mina Susan Pattel, 27; Chaula Stewart Pattel, 5; Dorothy Helman Pattel, 2; Clifford Pattel, 1. His date of birth is shown as August, 1878 and his immigration year as 1900.

Charles and Mina Stewart Pattle had eight children: Stewart Pattle; Clifford Pattle; Milton Pattle; Victor Pattle; Ray Pattle; Chaula Pattle; Dorothy Pattle; and Mildred Pattle.

Mina Susan Stewart died at the age of 74 at Carman Memorial Hospital, Carman, Manitoba, Canada. Robert Charles Pattle died June 18, 1964 in Winnipeg General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

His obituary was published in the Winnipeg Free Press on June 19, 1964:

CHARLES ROBERT PATTLE

On Thursday, June 18, 1964, at the Winnipeg General Hospital, Charles Roert, aged 87 years, beloved husband of the late Mina Pattle of Carman, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the Roland United Church. Rev. Dr. J. A. Stephen and Rev. W. P. Marchant officiating. Interment in the family plot, Fairview Cemetery, Roland. Mr. Pattle was born in Charring [sic] Cross, England, coming to Canada in 1890, settling at Smith Falls, Ontario, then to Roland, Manitoba, in 1899. He carried on a transfer business until he went to Winnipeg to live, working for the T. Eaton Co. for five years. He took up farming at Prairie Grove, Man., and then to Roland and the Tobacco Creek district until his retirement to Carman in 1946. He was predeceased by his wife, Mina Stewart in 1958. Surviving are five sons, Stewart of Vancouver, Clifford of Morris, Victor of Carman, Raymond and Milton of Winnipeg; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Marles and Miss Mildred Pattle of Winnipeg, and Mrs. George (Victoria) Adams of Roland; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Doyle Funeral Service, Carman, in care of arrangements.

They are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Roland, Manitoba, Canada.
