Her passage was paid by Dr Barnardo Homes. Her destination was Mr J W Hobday, Supt, Dr Barnardo Homes, Peterboro, Ontario. Her next of kin was her Aunt-Mrs Richardson, 8 Copsleigh Terrace, Preston, Paignton, South Devon

On Feb 5 1925, Ida May Payton, 21, born England, daughter of James Payton and Rachel Kirks, married Robert Laughlin McClaren,23, born Ontario, son of Archie Scott McClaren and Harriett Laughlin, in Toronto, Ontario

the marriage was witnessed by Rachel Payton and N F Payton both of Toronto

Her mother Rachel arrived in Canada on Feb 11 1920 'to join her children'. Her passage was paid in part by Salvation Army. She was going to her daughter Mrs A Mc????, 37 Erie Road, Toronto, her contact in England was her sister-Mrs Richardson, 8 Copseleigh Terrace, Preston Paignton, Devon

A sister Florence McKeown nee Payton died aged 43 in Toronto in 1934, her death was registered by her brother James of Fort Cologne, Quebec, (she arrived in Canada in 1913 as a 21 year old domestic)
