NotesOn May 8 1908, Alice born 1900, Florence born 1902, Lily born 1905, were admitted to St Leonard Branch School. Next of kin - Mrs Johnson, 3 Rushton St, deserted by father. On June 9 1908, Alice and Florence were sent to Hornchurch Homes while Lily was placed in the Workhouse on December 1 1908.

On June 9 1908, Alice and Florence entered Hornchurch Childrens Homes. On October 5 1908 Alice was returned to the Workhouse while Florence was sent on 20 August 1908 to M A B School, Swanley

On December 18 1908, Lily was readmitted from the Workhouse to the school. Her fathers address was given as 14 Poole St. On 29 March 1909 she went back to the workhouse.

In 1911, Alice Pemble, 11, inmate, in St Leonards Branch School, 26 - 28 Lower Clapton Road, St John at Hackney

Florence was admitted to the Branch School on November 17th 1910 from Shoreditch Union. Her next of kin was her stepmother, 8 Drysdale Place. On November 29 1910 Florence was sent to the Hornchurch Homes

In Aug 1918, Alice Pemble, 18, Knitter, entered America via Port Huron, Michigan, last residence Stratford, Ontario, contact in Englad-father, Walter, London, England, destination-Cleveland, Ohio, contact-friend Chas Skibourus?, 3618 Cecilia, Cleveland, Ohio, born London
