Notes Frederick and Minnie Peskett arrived in Quebec City as British Home Children from Liverpool on May 8, 1976 and July 30, 1876 respectively. They were somehow separated in Liverpool, and did not make contact with each other until after they had arrived at the Marchmont Home in Belleville. From there they were placed in individual homes and only occasionally heard about each other through their home inspectors. Once they became of adult age they both lived near Owen Sound and shortly thereafter both married. They were both married in Owen Sound in 1891, approximately one month apart. After both had married and moved west, Fred to Portage La Prairie and then Dauphin Manitoba, and Minnie to Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, they did not keep in frequent contact with each other, both having large families to raise. One of Frederick's sons, Herbert, and Minnie's son Percy got to know each other while training at the air force base in Dauphin Manitoba during WWI.
