NotesCharles Peters was admitted to Lambeth Union Schools on September 24, 1889. His mother was dead and his grandmother resided at 5 Vauxhall Road, Albert Embankment.

Charles was discharged to Barnardo's Home on August 1, 1900.

In 1900, Charles Peters, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 101 Barnardo boys en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

November 26 1902

About 15 years of age, On 17th October 1902, Dr Stewart Cameron of Omemee reported that Peters was suffering from a sore knee, which he diagnosed as rickets. His condition showed no improvement, and on the 4th instant, I am advised Mr Owen, Superintendant of the Barnardo Agency, considered it advisable to return him to England. He was emigrated during 1900.

Charles Peters returned to England on the ship Commonwealth, leaving Boston, Massachusetts, USA on November 13, 1902.
