Parents: Henry Pinnock and Margaret Anderson, married 1890 in Bethnal Green, London, England.

In 1912, John Pinnock, 14, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 84 Louisa Birt children en route to Knowlton, Quebec, Canada.

On June 16, 1916, at Belleville, Ontario, Canada, John Charles Pinnock, 18, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided at the Marchmont Home; that he was born in London, England; that his next of kin was his mother, Margaret Pinnock, who resided at 162 Kensal Road, London, England; that his date of birth was March 17, 1898; that he was a farmer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 7-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; gray eyes; light brown hair. He was a member of the Church of England. He had a small scar on the outer side of his left knee; and a small scar on his forehead about 1-1/2 inches above his right eyebrow. He returned to Canada from active service in January, 1919, with his destination being Alderade, Canada.

[POSSIBLE MATCH] On November 2, 1920, John Pinnock, 21, A.B. [able bodied seaman] returned to England on the ship Metagama. He declared that he was going to 3 Seymour Street, Dunston on Tyne, and that he intended to remain permanently in England.

John Charles Pinnock died at the age of 67 on June 2, 1965, at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Registration #: 1965-09-007314)
