In 1907, Frederick Povey, 7, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 245 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
On March 15, 1931, Fred Wm Povey, 31, seaman, was rejected from entering into Canada through the Port of Bridgeburg, Ontario, Canada. He declared that he was born in Birmingham, England; that he had resided in Canada previously from 1907 until 1925; that he intended to pursue any kind of work; that his final destination was Hamilton, Ontario, without any particular address; that his contact in the United States was hs friend, Mrs. E. Bumbard, 269 Oat Street, Buffalo, New York; and that he carried $55 on his person.
On June 21, 1931, Frederick Wm Povey, 28, seaman, arrived in Plymouth, England, after having been deported from the United States on the ship President Harding. His proposed destination was Duddeston, England.
