Age 14, good home, employed at light farm work, health good, attends Free Baptist Church, does not attend school, can read and write, character good, terms-Board, Lodging and Clothes. This lad says that he is well treated, likes living here, and has no complaints to make. Mr Vanwart speaks well of him, and appears to be quite satisfied with him.

Powe is well settled and appears to be thriving. He states he is comfortable and gets along agreeably with the family. He is not yet in receipt of wages but has had $8 for pocket money so far this summer
