In 1904, James Quinton, 6, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group 479 children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.(Brother George Quinton arrived in 1908 on the Dominion with Barnardos.)
On May 28, 1915, James Quinton, residing in Allendale, Ontario, Canada, was shown as the next of kin to his brother, Geroge Quinton, who enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. George Quinton died in Belgium in 1917.
