NotesNellie Rusconi was born in London, England on 3 May 1905 to Albino Rusconi and Esther Palmer.

She was placed in the St. Pancras Poorhouse on 20 August 1908, where she remained until she left for Canada in 1920. She lived with the Rudduck family in Nelson, BC.

In 1922 she married Charles William Ades as Eleanor Rusconi; she was 17 and he was 22. Her marriage record states her parents were both Italian born, names unknown, and that she was an orphan (Albino died in 1919). They divorced in 1942.
