NotesMay and her sister Annie were sent out to Canada from Dr Barnardos Homes. May and Annie sailed from Liverpool England on March 12th 1908 aboard the SS Dominion. They arrived in Halifax via Portland Maine USA on March 21 1908. Both passenger lists from US and Canadian ports indicate the final destination as Barnardos Home in Toronto Ontario.

Her death record shows her date of birth as 25 May 1902, died aged 52 in 1955 but she was actually 61.

Her husband Frank drowned in 1950, aged 45.
