Mr Rice states that this boy gives him fair satisfaction. He thinks that he is improving. Savory states that he is well treated, and had no complaints. He likes his work and is contented.

"Another Barnardo boy who worked for Stewart Astleford was Alex Savoury. When Stewart left the farm Alex went to work in Cushing Millwork in Moose Jaw. He is deceased."
