Notes Sent by Bristol Union
with Mr Fiddler, Blacksmith, Salmon Creek, Queens, NB
August 8 1902
Age 14, this boy was originally placed with one Samuel Drost, farmer, leaving Mr Drost he went to work for a farmer named Code, from the Codes he appears to have gone to the above address, where I found him after considerable driving and enquiry. There does not appear to have been any restraint on his movements, and he has been doing about as he wished, as far as choosing situations. The Fiddlers are nice appearing people, and they are well recommended to me. They have merely taken the boy in and are under no agreement, whatever with the Agent of the Society. While I am perfectly satisfied that the boy has a comfortable home here (he has been here about a fortnight) yet I am of the opinion that it would be in his interests if he were removed as far as possible from this district and re-placed, in as much as he has been handed from one neighbour to another, and without the consent of the agent.
