1901 Canadian Census records place George and Arthur Stringer in the household of Elisabeth Elliott (70) in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. George is 7 years of age born about 1894, Arthur is 6 years of age born about 1895, both boys claim they were born in England. Their relation to the woman seems to be listed as 'Benado', perhaps meaning they were from Bernardo Homes.

1911 Canadian Census record for Arthur Stringer states he was 'B. H. Boy' in the household of Millie and John Teskey. Arthur is listed as being born in Apr 1896 in England and having immigrated in 1905. Barnardo Home child Saddie Eaton was also in residence.
