NotesIn 1886, Peter Sweeney, 7, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 71 children from the Liverpool Catholic Children's Protection Society, accompanied by a Mrs. Lacy and en route to Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

"Sixteenth Annual Report of the Local Government Board, 1886-87; Copy of Reports of Inspection of Children sent out to Canada, as of February 12, 1887.

Report of Mr. R. Mcpherson, Government Immigration Agent at Kingston, Ontario.

Peter Sweeny, aged 12, from parish of Liverpool, placed with James Darragh, Kingston Mills P.O., lot 2, 3 Con., Pittsburgh Tp. Giving full satisfaction, and well pleased with his place, being taught at home, in 4th reader."

On April 26, 1905, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Peter Sweeney, 29, coachman, born in Ireland to Peter Sweeney and Catherine Tynes; and Elizabeth Bathgall, 22, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to John Bathgall and Mary Oneil.
