Catherine Tarpey, 41, residing at 49 Freemasons Row, Liverpool, Lancashire, England, was buried in Ford Cemetery on April 5, 1880 (Grave SV 308).

In 1884, Francis Tarpey (illegible on manifest) (along with brother, Stephen Tarpey), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 104 children from the Catholic Children's Protective Society, accompanied by Mrs. Lacy and en route to Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

On April 19, 1915, at Camp Sewell, Manitoba, Canada, Francis Tarpey, 35, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in Manchester, England; that his next of kin was his brother, Stephen Tarpey, who resided at Sault St Marie, Ontario, Canada; that he was born on April 6, 1880; that his trade was farming; and that he was single. He was described as 5 ft 4-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; blue eyes; dark hair turning gray. He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.
